Terrye Moore is a wife, mother, and grandmother who serves as the Senior Pastor of New Solid Rock Fellowship Church. The church, located in Northwest Baltimore, was founded by her parents, Drs. Ernest and Brenda Sewell in 2002. She was ordained in 2005, but did not begin full-time ministry until 2012 when she made the decision to leave a 25 year career in Information Technology. She completed her BS in Biology in 1981 (Tuskegee University), an MA in Christian Ministries in 2014 (St. Mary’s Ecumenical Institute), and received an honorary Doctor of Divinity in 2020 (St. Thomas Christian University). In 2013, she founded the Northwest Faith-Based Community Partnership (also known as the Northwest Faith Partners); a consortium of congregations in Northwest Baltimore that work together on various initiatives to bring positive change to the community. As the Executive Director, her goal is to inspire faith leaders to come outside of the walls of their houses of worship to get engaged with their surrounding neighborhoods. She can often be found working in the community to bring her vision to pass as she declares that “the Northwest District is a holy district, set aside for renewal, revival, and restoration.”
